PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stick to the given joining format. We actually are not impressed if you can write a paragraph simply about the fact that your character was born on November 16th. In fact, she who updates is going to be pretty pissed when she has to interpret that. Sticking to the format makes our job so much easier and we'll appreciate it SO much more!! If you are new to Outstanding, we ask that you provide an 100 word sample post... something that shows us that you check for spelling and grammar mistakes and have a character that's not a total Mary Sue. It can be recycled if you'd like. Any other characters you join will not need a sample post. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
To join a special character, such as an Animagus, half-veela, etc, we will need to see a sample post as well containing at least 300 words (post should be including that special characteristic). To play a canon character or a professor, we need to see a sample post containing at least 200 words. If you already have one special character, please refrain from joining another. On the same note, don't join a special just for the sake of having one. And yes, we will be pretty strict when determining who gets one simply because they're in high demand. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Please take the time to check over your character before you hit post. Is everything spelled right? (Surprisingly, it doesn't look too great if you can't spell the House name, especially since you can just copy it from the form!) Grammar good to go? Is your character unique and flawed? No one likes perfect. Pretty boring, actually. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
