.The Falls.

The Falls is a priceless resource for the horses, one of the most important locations in the area. The water is cool and clear, excellent for drinking, and horses will collect around the lake's banks throughout the year. In the summer, a swim often provides much needed relief from the scorching heat, though one must be careful of the slick, rocky bottom to avoid slipping. Towards the middle, the current can be quite forceful, so young or weak horses should stick to the edges if they venture in. During the winter only the edges will freeze over, if it does at all, and droughts are extremely uncommon, though there is record of one many years ago.
