Kahrain Hold

Kahrain Hold, like many souther Holds, is made more of wood than stone like the nothern Holds are. without Thread around, it was much easier to make tall buildings of wood. And they are more disconnected, seeming more like a Terran town than the northern holds, more conencted by stone paths than having separate buildings. There are few connected buildings in Kahrain, and it's a good area, near both the sea and the jungle, good fertile farmland. it's a center for trade, and the closest large Hold to Landing, making them get most of the technology Landing decides Pern can use first.
