Welcome to the Topspin message board - the place for all Tim Henman fans!

This message board was set up primarily for members of Tim's official fan club, Topspin, but if you're still interested in what Tim's doing with tennis now he's retired then you're welcome to check here for news.

Please note - If your message is short you can type it all in the "subject" box so it appears in full on the board.

So what would your answer have been? (my email inside for those of you who didn't hear it - be interested to know what other people think ... ) Needless to say, they ignored my PS :-)

Further to the previous questions about the byes for the top 8 seeds:
It used to be said that it was almost harder to win a Masters event than a Slam, with 6 matches in 7 days, plus a best of five set final - and, of course, a strong field.
Now the draw size has been reduced even for the outdoor tournaments (apart from Indian Wells and Miami) so the top 8 actually only have to win 5 matches, and the finals have been reduced to best of 3. So, other than usually a stronger field, the Masters are now no different for the top 8 than a normal high level Tour event. Do you think this has devalued them, and if so, how can the 1000 points be justified? Should they maybe be set at 750, with Indian Wells and Miami kept to 1000 to recognise the difference?
Regards,
Jean Butler, Bristol
PS I understand that you have to give priority to Murray's matches but do we HAVE to hear about him every five minutes when other players are on court???
